Well, this will be our first Christmas without Christopher and this mom is not dealing well with it. I just managed to get the tree up last week and I have to go tomorrow and finish my shopping. The Christmas Spirit is doing its best to escape me this year.
So tonight when Chris sent me a text message and told me to find this song with the voice messages I thought I would share it here because it helped me realize that although we will be missing Chris terribly this year, we are lucky that he is still stateside and there are other's out there that are not.
(remember to turn off my music at the bottom)
ENJOY
God Bless all of our Service Members and their Families even more at this time.

aam...I understand. It simply hurts. Let those Mom-Tears roll, at times that is all we have. Our mind knows why our child is not with us, but our hearts are not as accepting.
This is such a good song!

Pray Hard!

AAM, you're not alone and we know how you feel and probably have a good idea of what the future will feel like too. This is the second Christmas with my son in Iraq. He'll be home soon and has grown into a fine Cav Scout. But, Baghdad is no place to celebrate the holidays. our sons are in the army now, "It is what it is."
BTW tonight it will be way(!) below zero at Drum. Many feet of snow on the way, the winter is young.
Cav Scout parents learn to pray real good!

Video isn't working but I'll come back later and try again.

Hi. I have been following your blog for awhile. My son is a Marine currently stateside. My nephew is a Marine currently in Iraq. My son was in Washington DC last Christmas and couldn't come home. I understand how you feel. Thanks for reminding us to think of our deployed military and their familys.
